The Gilmore Car Museum islocated between Kalamazoo andGrand Rapids,Michigan. It is considered the largest auto museum in North America. The museum was created by Donald S. Gilmore, who began collecting antique automobiles in the 1960s.
The museum is a must-see for any car enthusiast, history buff, or those looking for something interesting to do while in the area. The museum features more than a dozen buildings, each displaying cars, motorcycles, bicycles, hood ornaments, and other antiques on over 90-acres of land.
Most of the display items are antiques, but there are a few prototype vehicles on exhibit. The cars in the museum have been fully restored, and the displays cover a wide range of vehicles—from V-16 Cadillacs to DeLoreans. There is even a replica of a 1930’s Shell gas station.
